Web3 CMO Stories
From Keynote Stage to Amazon: The Future CMO | S5 37
The marketing landscape is transforming rapidly, and leadership must evolve with it. That's the driving insight behind my exciting announcement today – my new book "The Future CMO" is almost ready to launch! After sharing keynote stages with Philip Kotler in Cairo and Dennis Yu in Portugal, I realized the message I've been developing over years was finally coming together in a powerful way.
What started as a conversation with Mark Schaefer in July – "You're already doing the work, your book is halfway done" – has blossomed into a focused, actionable guide for modern marketing leaders. This isn't a lengthy theoretical tome; it's a sharp 90-minute read designed specifically for marketers, founders, and decision-makers navigating the complexities of AI, Web3, and the overwhelming technological noise we all face today.
"The Future CMO" explores how marketing leadership must evolve from strategist to integrator, from campaign thinker to system builder. I dive into critical themes of visibility, trust, and storytelling while making the case that tomorrow's most effective marketing leaders will guide their organizations not just with metrics, but with meaning. The e-book launches this September, followed by the paperback in October. If you'd like to be part of this journey – as an early reader, launch team member, or just someone who wants to grab the book when it's available, reach out to me via https://webdrie.net. The future of marketing starts with how we choose to show up, and I'd love for you to join me in exploring what that means for all of us.

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Web3 CMO Stories podcast. My name is Joeri Billast and I'm your podcast host, and today I decided to record a solo podcast episode because I have something personal and exciting to share with you. I've been working behind the scenes on something new and it's almost ready. It's my new book the Future CMO. You might already have seen my posts on LinkedIn. It's really happening and the book will be out there very soon. First I will publish the e-book version this month, in September, and then in October it will be the paperback version.
Joeri Billast:So if you have been following me for a while, you may know a few years ago I wrote the 5k challenge for solopreneurs and actually that became a number one Amazon bestseller a number one Amazon bestseller. Since then I've also contributed chapters to books by Mark Schaefer and the RISE community the book is called the Most Amazing Marketing Book Ever and also in Joe Pulizzi's and his CEX community book and the book is called the Content Entrepreneur. In the first book my chapter was about Web3. And in the book. The second book was about the metaverse, and many years ago also, I wrote even an e-book on productivity but that was a long time, very long time ago about working more efficiently Although that never one made it to Amazon long time, very long time ago. About working more efficiently, although that never one made it to Amazon.
Joeri Billast:But this new book, it's different. It's my own voice, fully based on the keynotes I gave earlier this year. Earlier this year, I gave a keynote in Oeiras, the Lisbon area, at DGT Innovation, where Dennis Yu was the other keynote speaker, and also a few months before, I gave a keynote in Cairo, where I shared the lineup with no one other than Philip Kotler, and both times the topic was the same the theme of the future and both times I felt something click, like the message I've been shaping over the past few years is finally coming together. And early July I had a conversation with Mark Schaefer and he said something that stuck with me. He said, jury, you are already doing the work, you have the podcast, you're on stages, your book is already halfway done. And I said, okay, yeah, I need to write a new book. He was right. So in July I started writing seriously and now, just two months later, the book is basically done.
Joeri Billast:It's not a long book. It's meant to be sharp and actionable. I would call it a 90 minute read, maybe a bit more. It's for marketers, founders, decision makers who are trying to navigate a world of AI, web3 and other new technologies and all the noise that comes with it. In the book, I talk about how the role of the CMO is evolving from strategies to integrator, from campaign thinker to system builder. I talk about visibility, trust, storytelling, and I make the case that the new generation of CEOs needs to lead, not just with metrics but with meaning.
Joeri Billast:Right now, I have an amazing. I have a few amazing people helping me with the proofreading, but I might still accept one or two more If you're fast. So if you're now listening and doing this and thinking, hey, I'd love to read it early, give feedback and maybe help shape the final version. Send me a message. Or maybe you want to be part of my launch team, helping me spread the word and, when the book drops, supporting the visibility campaign and, who knows, maybe helping this book reach the top of Amazon charts, like I did a few years ago.
Joeri Billast:This book is more than just words on paper. It is connected to everything I do my podcast, my retreat in Sintra, the keynotes I give the people I work with, and I love for you to be part of that journey. So if you are interested in being a proofreader, joining the launch team, simply buying the book when it is live, just send me an email at juriefficadocom. That's it for today. Next week I will be back with a new guest, but for now, thank you for listening and being a part of this growing community. Stay curious, stay visible and remember the future of marketing starts with how you choose to show up. Talk soon.
